Fence Cleaning

A clean fence makes the whole yard look finished. A dirty one drags everything down.

Wood fences in the Pacific Northwest don’t stand a chance against the weather. Within a season or two, you start seeing green algae creeping up the boards, black mildew streaks, gray weathered patches, and a general dinginess that no amount of hosing off can fix. Pressure washing strips years of buildup in a single visit and brings the natural wood color back to the surface.

What We Clean

  • Cedar fences — our most common fence type in Gig Harbor, and one that responds beautifully to a proper wash
  • Pressure-treated wood fences — lifts algae, mildew, and dirt without tearing up the grain
  • Vinyl fences — safe cleaning that removes green algae and mildew streaks
  • Composite fences — gentle pressure and the right cleaners to avoid surface damage
  • Gates, posts, and trim — we clean every part of the fence, not just the easy-to-reach boards

How We Do It

Low pressure, high results. Wood fences don’t need — or want — the kind of pressure you’d use on concrete. Too much PSI tears up the grain and leaves fuzzy, damaged wood. We use lower pressure combined with the right cleaners to lift grime without hurting the surface.

Both sides, top to bottom. We clean the full perimeter of your fence, including the side facing your neighbor’s yard when accessible. A fence that’s only clean on one side isn’t really clean.

Natural cleaners, safe for your yard. Fences usually run right along garden beds, lawns, and landscaping. Our cleaning solutions are plant-safe, pet-safe, and people-safe — no harsh chemicals leaching into your soil.

Prepped for sealing or staining. If you’re planning to seal or stain your fence, a pressure wash is the essential first step. We leave the wood clean and ready to accept a finish once it’s fully dry.

What to Expect

A typical residential fence takes two to four hours depending on length, height, and how much buildup there is. Heavily weathered fences may take longer. We arrive with water, equipment, and cleaners — you don’t need to have anything ready. Most fences look dramatically better the moment the water hits them.

A note on older wood: Pressure washing cleans your fence but won’t undo years of sun bleaching or reverse natural graying. If your fence has aged to gray, we can clean it thoroughly, but bringing back the original warm wood tone usually requires staining after the wash.
